Moving Quotes in Reading

I was reading some historical romance this weekend - I know, quite a departure from my usual love of all things paranormal, urban fantasy, and sci-fi, but I've been in an historical mood recently - when I came upon a quote that just took me. Perhaps it was the late hour or the wine cooler I'd enjoyed earlier in the evening, but it just made me sigh. I realize it's icky in it's uber-sappy feel, but I do believe that's why I liked it. So now I'm sharing:

From the moment I first met you, you have taunted me, bossed me around, goaded me beyond belief and driven me half-mad trying to protect you. You've made me feel [...] something I thought I would never experience again. I sleep you, dream you, smell your perfume wherever I go, feel your soft skin under my hands. It has been this way since we first met, but I stubbornly refused to accept it [...] I was arrogant enough to believe that no woman would ever master me [...] but it seems I was mistaken.
(Conquest Bride by Meriel Fuller)

This, of course, is not a review of the work. I do those elsewhere now I may have to come back and do one. :)
